Roger Lee
Hi Mack, Here you go. Kit GA-001 If this doesn't work out for you ask Ace Hardware. http://www.avlab.com/amelia/search.asp?advnav=&action=Search&store=&cat=1318&subcat_84=1318&ShowImages=&ShowDetails=&menuID=1~1&id=1 Here are the cutters. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ep/oilfilters_zcutters.html

Runtoeat
For oil analysis of my oil, I use this company. Believe that I bought a box of "kits" for sending my oil in to them. These are complete with sample bottle and pre-paid postage. Think they cost about $20 each. My link
Roger Lee
Hi Dick, That's Avlabs. Same company. You only need to do an oil analysis every couple of oil changes or the annual. If you qualify for the 2000 TBO Rotax has said it's mandatory..The kits have postage pre-paid label inside and a sample jar. You fill out the paperwork inside and just toss it in the mail. In about 2 weeks you have the results via email. I keep these in stock. Your oil should be warm and you catch it mid drain during the oil change. Don't catch it at the beginning or the end of the drain, in the middle.

BMcCand - N248CT
I just checked out SB-912-057 (2000 hr TBO extension) and SB-916-016 R4 (operating fluids) and cannot find a reference to oil testing. Line Maint, edition 2 / rev 1 section 05-20-00 pg 5, para 2 RECOMMENDS oil analysis. so, enquiring minds want to know - where is it mandatory? BTW, I do use Avlab GA-001 for every oil change, and track trends on a spreadsheet. Yeah, I know, kind of obsessive. But I clearly see lead on the XC trips, use mogas @ home. Always look @ silicon to make sure air filter is Ok.
207WF
I also use Aviation Laboratories and its nice that they send you the whole history for your plane each time you send in a sample. Still, its hard to know just how to interpret the numbers. WF
