ralarcon
CTLS , 2010 Fuel pressure varies, sometimes wildly other times minimaly. Started using fuel only from the Left wing only for two weeks. All fuel lines tested working well, carburators working as designed. Exhaust lines purged. Now it is using fuel fairly evenly, but there is still some fuel press. movement. Thanks
Ed Cesnalis
Given the geometry of our fuel systems it is hard to see how a fuel pump's performance could affect which wing the fuel comes from.
Roger Lee
Fuel pump won't affect the wing drain. That is the flat tank design and aircraft coordination in fligh issue or could be a rducd radius hose. (usually the corordination) Pump pressure movement is affected by grounding, a bad fuel pressure sender, how hot the fuel is in the lines and the pump itself could be going bad, but that's not the usual cause. The pumps tend to leak and not so much fluctuate all over the place. The fuel pressure sender is the above average cause for fluctuation. If other instruments are fluctuating then I would lean towards the grounding.
ralarcon
Thanks for both of your reply, I'll discuss it with my mechanic. Cheers
ralarcon
Apparently the fuel pump is leaking fuel. Cheers.
