Scrapman1959
What is the weight difference then on the lighter Warp ( no metal leading edge) compared to the sensenich and Neuform? 90% of my flying is solo with half tanks and in flat country at 1000 Msl. Ed Cesnalis
I don't know the weight difference. The leading edge isn't the only weight consideration. 2-blade vs 3-blade is a consideration as well as spinner.
Roger Lee
I do not know the actual weights.Composite blades are more or less honey comb and a little more hollow design where the Warp is a solid carbon fiber epoxy blade. I do remember that the 66" Warp blades are 954 grams or 2.16 lbs each plus the hub is heavier. I don't remember the Sensenich weight. The Warp is heavier. Don't quote me on this, but I'll try and pull this from memory. I think the 68" Sensenich with all associated hardware is around 9 lbs and the 66" Warp is around 12 lbs. Scrapman1959
Thx for all the info guys. I'm sure the 2 blade warp is longer than the 3 blade? I guess we will have to see if FD will even put a Warp on a new plane. My guess is they will give us a choice of sensenich or Neuform.
Roger Lee
FD will not put a Warp on a new plane.
Scrapman1959
Do u need an LOA then or are they approved?
Ed Cesnalis
I think it is approved if it is listed in your aircraft's docs as optional equipment.
Roger Lee
It is approved and does not need an LOA if it is in your original documentation as an option. If it is not it would take an LOA which FD is no longer giving for a Warp Drive prop.
FlyingMonkey
Has anybody put a Prince prop on a CT? They tend to outperform a Sensenich by a small amount on many airframe types.
