mocfly Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 I really dislike the position of the headset plugs and rather than buy extensions would like to reposition them if it doesn't cause much heartburn or expense. Is it a big deal and do I get/need an LOA? If I need one, do I apply before the work is done? Of course a bill of materials and scope of work long along with work instructions would be provided.
Jim Meade Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 While you're at it are you going to add LEMO plugs so you can use phones without a battery? I'm going to reposition mine, too. Haven't yet decided if it will be off the front panel or off the tunnel. Or, it could be up high in the rear. I want to be able to reach it readily when seated and belted.
Tom Baker Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 My first CT had little curved mirrors with an extra set of headset jacks mounted on the sides on the mushroom.
mocfly Posted May 30, 2013 Author Report Posted May 30, 2013 Tom, I will add the lemo plugs. I think an area on the left side of the pilot position makes for a better cabl path. I am constantly re-positioning the cable. Even under the mushroom on the left would be better than its present location.
sandpiper Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 My lemo jacks are near the baggage door pull on each side. I am happy with this location.
