FastEddieB
Just curious... ...has any pilot here not performed accelerated stalls, or at least had them demonstrated? And if anyone has doubts about stalling a wing well above the unaccelerated stall speed, seek out a qualified aerobatic instructor and have some snap rolls demonstrated - in a suitable plane, of course. If that doesn't clarify things, nothing will!
Ed Cesnalis
...Yes you can stall at any airspeed, but that simply means the wing gets to 15 degree AOA faster at slower speeds... A snap roll ( accelerated stall ) must be one of the fastest way to stall, - debunked
Doug G.
And the cool thing is one wing is more stalled than the other (which actually may not be stalled at all). Yes, I practice power on stalls and stalls in all flap configurations. It develops good stick-and-rudder skills. Flying level and in turns on the edge of stall while maintaining altitude also helps immensly in having a feel for the plane. All of this is done at a safe altitude, of course.
