Something different in the air and on the water

I've been following this aircraft for YEARS now, and while it looks great, you've got to wonder what's taking so long. These guys have received more press than all other LSAs combined... yet haven't delivered one airplane. Wasn't this first announced in 2006?

Water flying is some of the best fun you can have. I regularly flew floats for 35 years and owned a Lake Amphip for 3 years. But, as Tim asks, "where is it?" Something is holding it up otherwise they'd be selling them by now.

Looking at the videos, I'm not sure I like the lack of a wing float. What they have does the job for slow taxi but look at it on the step in turns. There isn't much separation between wing tip and water. Unless that wing tip has a design element I missed, I think if you were in a high speed turn on the step and got a wing tip in the water things might get exciting - and not in a good way.
