GrassStripFlyBoy
Final stages of autopilot install, ran the bundle of wires from panel through the tunnel to the back baggage area, zip tied to factory harness every ~ 8 inches, that required some one handed zip tie wraps. I think it's easier to tie a cherry stem in a knot with your tongue. 20 degrees in a non heated hanger, thank God for hot tubs and cold beer - happy Friday fellas! Tom Baker
What do your arms look like. I normally look like I've been through a war zone when doing work like that.
GrassStripFlyBoy
Mostly good, a few little scratches on the tops of hands for sure. Thin fingerless gloves would have been smart in hindsight. Was able to wear long sleeve sweat shirt - doing that chore bare skin would really suck. Being a skinny long fingered frame I managed, plus younger and still rather nimble is a bonus. Took both the servo bundles as well as a spiral cable wrap with two other wires within it (for future cabin light power & ground), zip tied all these into one unit, then snaked it through, then zip tied to the other wiring once located. Split off the spiral wrapped wires and ran them up the factory wiring small through hole right behind the bulkhead - that was joy too. Sense of accomplishment makes up for the hassle. Jim Meade
I've also put all the new bare wires in a bundle and pulled the bundle. Agreed that tie-wrapping all is a pain. I ran a snake up from the rear and pulled everything toward the back. Yes, securing them in the tunnel is still a nuisance.
