CTB
Hi, I know this is a CT forum, but I am wondering if any F2 current or future owners are here? I have placed order for one recently. Thank you Bob
GrassStripFlyBoy
I noticed this post a few days back, third F2 in the US, I don't believe I've seen anyone on the forum here post about a delivery. https://www.facebook.com/groups/204208050410317/permalink/829262304571552/ Also, I was at FDUSA on Tuesday helping a new owner return a LS to Michigan. Tom shared there are 28 on order if I recall the number correctly.
CTB
Thanks Darrell. That's exciting.
GrassStripFlyBoy
There was an F2 that appeared being prepped for delivery, as well as a new super sport.

I was at the airport most of the day waiting for my friend and his wife to arrive in a CTLSi he just bought in South Carolina.
GrassStripFlyBoy
Hey Tip, it was an idea, but heavy winds and snow / marginal VFR for most of East PA had us parked in Scranton a couple hours. It was go time to work in a small window of good weather to make MI. Will see you when it’s above freezing!
Ken Kueny
I took delivery of N82SV two weeks ago at KFCI. I waited 18 months, and it was well worth it.
FlyingMonkey
The question I want answered is: "Does an F2 fly like a CT?" Obviously there are improvements, but I'm curious about the overall handling and "feel".

Hi Ken, It looks very nice. Can you post some pictures of the interior and the panel? And I will probably have more questions over the time. Please, let us know how it handles, feels, flies, etc. Thank you Bob
Ken Kueny
I've never flown a CT, so I can't offer a comparison. I trained in a Tecnam P92 Eaglet. In comparison . . . 1) it is larger and less buzzy due to lack of rivets, 2) the fuel injected 912is is much smoother than the carbureted 912uls, 3) 3 bladed prop is much quieter than the 2 bladed prop, 4) much more slippery in the pattern (I tend to be high and fast using my memorized P92 approach), still dialing in my landings, 5) the autopilot is awesome. I'll get a picture if the inside and post it shortly.
Ken Kueny
Here is an interior shot with the electronics fired up, but not the engine.

opticsguy
I ordered an F2 a year ago. It was nearing final assembly but with the war nobody knows where it is.

FlyingMonkey
That is a sexy beast...what is the empty weight? I know FD was trying to reduce the weight a bit compared to the CTLSi, I'm wondering if they succeeded on that score.

Towner
I would love to hear more about these as they start arriving (can’t buy one, just interested in planes). I’m embarrassed to admit that I still haven’t flown in an LS!
207WF
Don't see a price on the FD website. Any guesses?
