Vic
Hi all, Looking for some advice on paint chip repair. What materials/composite or compounds can I use to fill in paint chips before I spray it with paint. Some are cracks, some spots you can see the fiber weave where the paint has completely chipped off, nothing bigger than 1/2inch. I wasn't sure if regular old Bondo from AutoZone would work since you can sand it or if there is something you all use that's more suitable. Madhatter
I just did one. Removed loose paint around chip, cleaned with MEK. Then used white Marine Tech epoxy and filled in void with small squeegee. Used 3000 grit wet sandpaper , finally sprayed paint with a good paint touch-up gun. I have 2 part urethane paint that I had matched at an auto paint shop that I use for other things. Actually works really easy.
