Eddie Cesnalis
Filters are: rock cathers at wing roots fuel filter at fuel valve screen at colator. Bowls are: Float bowls Gas Colator bowl Nozzles are: Needle Jets Main Jets Idle Jet We addressed everything but the nozzles. I'm at sea level so I'm only above 80% for my take off otherwise the needle keeps the flow clear. When WOT the space opens and the debris falls in and WOT is rough. It comes back every teke off and the jets need to be cleaned. We always point at the float bowls but we seldom comment that the nozzles are downstream from the float bowls. Happy guy now! Mike Koerner
There is also a screen in the fuel pump protecting the inlet check valve. And there is also a starting jet, separate for the 3 you mentioned, which only comes into play when the when the starting circuit (the "choke") is engaged and the throttle is closed. And there is the float valve which opens and closes to let fuel into the bowl. So, we have 4 places to catch particulates in our fuel, two places for heavier than fuel particles to settle out, and 5 places in the carbs where particles that get through can get stuck.
