YenAhalt
15 Inch MacBook Pro or iMac with combination of iPad 2 for college? I am considering getting a 15 Inch MacBook for college, but I also came across the possibility of getting an iMac in combination with an iPad 2 (for class notes, mobility, etc.). Both options cost about the same, and for the iPad I would get the wireless keyboard instead of using the virtual keyboard. Is this a good idea? ------------------------------------ ipad 2 Stylus Pen ipad leather case ipad cases leather
CT4ME
I like the idea... 2 "computers"... one for hardcore computing, and the other one for mobile needs (class, study groups, home)... iPad isn't great for creating content, but would get you by in case the other one crapped out. iPad would be great for notes, research, email, surfing, music, vids, etc. Having two computers for college students makes sense, as you are S.O.L. if your only one goes down. I often recommend a desktop and a netbook for clients' kids heading to school (non-mac world) Tim ps... and you get a nice EFB, too!
