Jim Meade
When it comes time to change the rubber on the engine, I'm thinking I'd like to bring the plane out to my heated farm shop. 20' door. I don't think I have a suitable landing site on the farm but haven't given up on that. However, I have a big trailer and wonder if I can take the wings off and trailer the rest of the plane out for the maintenance. Does anyone have any experience /tips on trailering a CT? Roger Lee
Hi Jim, Don't forget that any maint on your plane and engine needs to be done by a licensed mechanic unless you are one with some Rotax training or the plane is an ELSA and you took the 16 hr. class and registered with the FAA for that plane. You could trailer it by removing the wings and then fixing the stab in place or removing it. Wheels choked and locked down. seems like it would be far more trouble than it's worth.
