Roger Lee
Finally a useful oil thermostat for the Rotax engine. http://thermostasis.com/aircraft http://thermostasis....ostasis-faq.pdf They make two models. One for 190F or one for 205F. I have seen them, but have no personal experience. The 205F would be the one to use. You would need an LOA.

Roger Lee
I just heard a rumor that FD might be putting these in the new LS's, but it is just a rumor at this time and I'm trying to confirm.
westcoastoz
Very interesting to hear of a new thermostat to suit the 912. I installed a Perma-Cool TS some years ago, but finally had it removed at the last 100 Hour check as it was totally ineffective due to it having an 80C (176F) core. It would have been fine had a higher temp core been available, but sadly I was unable to source one. I would be interested to see reports from anyone who installs the Thermostasis unit on their Rotax 912.
redmark
I believe several of the RV-12 builders have install it... there are many threads on the subject... here is the link to the top of the forum http://www.vansairforce.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=73 A search on thermostat will generate a bunch of hits. -Ron
