Jim Meade
Is the alternator light on at idle? At what rpm does the light go out?
Roger Lee
Hi Jim, If you have too many electrical items on at a low rpm i.e. 1750 or less then it is possible it will come on especially if the landing light is on. When it goes off is dependent on the rpm and items on. Try not turning on any lights and running at an rpm of 1800-2000. Let me know what happens. I recommend never running the landing light unless it is absolutely necessary because our electrical pull at low rpms with it on is too close to the max.
