Jmags
I’m in the process of buying a 2007 Gobosh 700 and it’s 350 hours in from the Annual. I had the seller do an oil change and send me pics of the magnetic plug and send off an oil sample. There is debris on the plug pictures attached as well as oil report. The seller is saying this when i questioned the debris. But im being told the normal wear in time is 50 hours. Can someone please verify. Thank you sellers is saying this. Spoke to another Rotax mechanic today who has never seen the plane and he also said the elevated iron is normal for a unit under 500 hours as the gearbox wears in.””” I don’t think this is right. FredG
Was any maintenance done during the 350 hours since the annual (did the oil that was changed have 350 hours on it)?
Jmags
I don’t think he had any maintenance done after the annual the 350 hours he changed the oil at 95 hours in December and sent the oil off to Blackstone. Those results are in the report I attached. Then he flew it for 19 hours and I had him send an oil sample to black stone I am attaching the oil report dated September. The picture of the mag plug is the picture I already attached. Blackstone said that the second oil sample turned out better, but it only had 19 hours on it and wanted him to run another 30 hours but he doesn’t wanna do that 20Sep2024 Oil Report.pdf
