Admin2 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Hi All, Try to make sure you resize your photos. When they open it shouldn't be any bigger than about 4"x4" up to 8"x10".
J L M Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 computer challenged here....how do I post a picture to the chat?
Rich Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 I'm having trouble with changing my profile picture. Haven't had this problem before. I've resized but when I brouse and upload, no picture shows. The file is listed in the brouse box but picture won't post. I've searched the archives but can't find the cure. Any help would be appreciated. Rich
Rich Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 The above relates to the file photo that shows on the posts. A little help here please. Nothing will upload, period. Has anyone tried this lately?
Anticept Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 On this forum, images are uploaded as an attachment. In order to make them show in the post, and not as just a little link at the bottom, you also need to use the "show inline" button that is next to the attachment. Some of us just host the images elsewhere and then link to them. If you mean your avatar (mine is the plane on the left), then make sure that the photo is the correct size first. This is both dimensionally (height and width) and file size.
Rich Posted August 3, 2015 Report Posted August 3, 2015 Anti, Yes, the avatar is what I'm trying to replace. I even went back to the previous picture I had which would not upload. Puzzling!
Rich Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Okay, although the file is uploaded to the box next to the browse box, no picture is seen in the picture box above it. I've tried everything to no avail. ??
Anticept Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Sounds like you have a browser problem then. Are you using an old computer?
Rich Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 About 9 years old. I've used this computer before to post pics here twice
Anticept Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Are you using internet explorer? If so, I'd first recommend dumping that stuff But anyways, I tested it and have no issues. I still say you're having a browser issue. Try clearing the browser cache, maybe even completely resetting it (in the case of IE).
Rich Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Anti, I'll try using a different browser and let you know. Thanks for the reccomendations-------Rich
Rich Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 I tried firefox. Same issue. I'll try and give the computer experts a call.
