Roger Lee
Hi Mike, Rotax is the only place that I know of. They are proprietary units to that engine I believe. They have a special on them at Leading Edge I believe for both the ignition modules and they are the soft start ones. http://www.leadingedge-airfoils.com/
Mike
Thanks for that Roger they are not for me so will let my friend know and leave it to him ... In the Uk they are around. £800 each which is I think a bit excessive but there again rotax has a Strong hold on prices Mike

S4Flier
My mechanic replaced one of the ignition boxes on another Rotax he services with, I believe, a Ducati ignition box for $40. This was several months back and i spoke with him before he did the replacement so don't know the results. He seemed to think it was an identical part. Have no idea if this would be a 'legal' mod for non-experimental. I dropped him a note and will update when he gets back to me.
Runtoeat
Dave, if the box your mechanic replaced was the same box or if it functions the same as the ignition module, this is almost giving it away for $40. Would it be possible that the mechanic misunderstand you and thought you were asking him about the Ducati voltage regulator box?
S4Flier
False alarm. The replacement didn't work but the owner is still looking for cheaper alternatives.
