Jim Meade
I have to buy a tension meter for my glider. Might as well be able to use it on the CTSW, as well. What size cables and what tensions are involved so I can take that into account when ordering the tension meter. Does anyone have any experience iwth the Burroughs sold by Aircraft Spruce? Something else better? I have some access issues with the glider, as it has to be able to be put on an aileron cable so I have to go through a good sized access hole. BMcCand - N248CT
Jim, I think all is push-pull rods except the rudder on a CTSW. pg 4-70 of the maint manual says 26lb tension for rudder cables.Cables for carb heat, heater, throttle and choke don't have any spec I can find.regards, Bill
Roger Lee
You won't need it for the CT.
Tom Baker
I've found in trying to check the tension on the rudder cables in the CT that you can't get the meter on a stretch of open cable to test it.
Tad Olmsted
Its amazing LSA maint manuals never have cable tension in their inspection criteria.
