Safety Officer
I talked to someone in Florida today and I believe this is the same incident. It was due to low fuel. No issues on landing. We have discussed this here on the forum. If you fly your tanks down under 3 gals and aren't watching a single tank may go empty and even though you have 2-3 gals in the other tank, you may be flying uncoordinated just enough to move those 2-3 gals to the outboard side of the tank which would cause fuel starvation. There is no good reason to ever let tanks get too low.
