Fuel flow

Does anybody know where to find the "K" factor for the fuel flow? I've started flying a CTSW I bought and I'm trying to get a few display problems sorted out. The fuel flow numbers seem high compared to others I've seen.

Hi Tom,

If it is in a CTSW then it is a Floscan so try a "K" factor of 30000. Then check the fuel level for 3-4 flights and get a read on the usage. You may need to step up to 32000, but I think 30K will work for you. That should be good. The Red Cube they use now is double that.

Thanks, I'll try thase numbers. It's running a full gallon more per hour than my LS.

Hi Tom,

Depending on the prop setting and a few other items that may be correct. The prop pitch alone can account for 2 gph difference.

Both are set about the same. 5500-5550 full throttle level flight.
