Tom Baker Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Does anybody know where to find the "K" factor for the fuel flow? I've started flying a CTSW I bought and I'm trying to get a few display problems sorted out. The fuel flow numbers seem high compared to others I've seen.
Tom Baker Posted July 7, 2012 Author Report Posted July 7, 2012 Hi Tom, If it is in a CTSW then it is a Floscan so try a "K" factor of 30000. Then check the fuel level for 3-4 flights and get a read on the usage. You may need to step up to 32000, but I think 30K will work for you. That should be good. The Red Cube they use now is double that. http://www.mglavionics.com/Floscan_Manual_-_NEW.pdf Thanks, I'll try thase numbers. It's running a full gallon more per hour than my LS.
Tom Baker Posted July 7, 2012 Author Report Posted July 7, 2012 Hi Tom, Depending on the prop setting and a few other items that may be correct. The prop pitch alone can account for 2 gph difference. Both are set about the same. 5500-5550 full throttle level flight.
