mocfly
I have this really great CNC tubing bender and was wondering why I couldn't replace the rubber oil line with aircraft grade seamless stainless steel tubing? Expertise comes from custom fuel rails for automotive and aerospace delivery systems. Which operate at much higher pressure than ours. LOA? chanik
In the experimental world, where people can rig an engine however they like, there have been many accidents associated with vibration induced cracking of rigid fuel and or oil lines so it something to be very cautious with especially since the engine can flex pretty far on its mount compared to things like the oil cooler mounted to the firewall. Roger Lee
I agree with Kurt as far as caution using hardened metal tubing for some longer unsupported lines. If you have an SLSA and LOA would be a must and I would be shocked if they gave it to you.
