Tellico Plains, TN Fly In - Sept. 8, 2012

In my back and forth to Knoxville, I had seen a landing strip in Tellico Plains, TN, about half way. It does not show up on my sectional or in my 496.

 

I recently found out it was accessible to the public. I went to a meeting of the pilot's association there, and they welcome visiting pilots.

 

In fact, they're having a fly-in:

Anyway, we plan to be there and to bring some vegetarian chili - reason enough to mark it on your calendar!
