Patrnflyr Posted July 19, 2010 Report Share Posted July 19, 2010 I came across something with my plane 2 weeks after getting out of annual that was very strange. My parking brake toggle stopped working. (The red switch) One minute it worked fine, and the next, stopped working completely. The brakes worked fine using the lever and would stop the plane perfectly, but I had to hold the brake lever to be able to do a run up or park in place with the engine running. After contacting Roger, he felt it was the O-ring or valve itself. I had my A&P contact John at Lockwood and he said it's happened a few times. My A&P said the O-ring looked "messed up" inside the valve. John overnighted the valve and it's working fine now. Just never heard of this before and thought others might benefit.
