chanik
I don't quite trust suction cups. Is it a simple matter to unscrew the tiedown bolt to mount the camera to a little shim at that point? Just loctite the bolt back in?
Roger Lee
Hi Kurt, The tied own bolt just unscrews. You can buy another 10mm bolt at Ace Hardware to use with your mount. Do not use Loctite when you put the bolts in. They will not come out or become loose. Use a large fender washer under the tied own bolt so when you screw the bolt back in the edges of the original won't start cutting the skin. The washer will keep the skin in good shape. chanik
OK, 10mm bolt. Good to know. How deep are the threads? How long a bolt should I get in other words? Will try it out with my new AEE camera. Like a Gopro2 but had all the features I wanted: extra battery back, waterproof. Comes with remote. Roger Lee
The bolt can be an inch without any problems. I don't know how long the total hole is. Just look at the tied own you take out. It's about an inch. I'm sure 11/4" would work too.
