sandpiper
Just finished my annual and went for a test flight. Turned on the landing light and the oil pressure dropped 10#. But, to make up for it, the CHT and oil temperature went up. I have steam for the engine instruments and I'm sure the annual had nothing to do with it since I didn't do anything that could have caused it.. Probably been doing it for awhile but I hadn't noticed. Guess it's time to start cleaning and tightning connections.
Ed Cesnalis
those temp gauges measure resistance to ground, thy read higher as grounding becomes weaker.
Roger Lee
Hi John, Ed's right. Tighten all those grounds. Just replaced an oil pressure sender yesterday. The pressure was only 30 psi and the new oil pressure parts didn't even make it move. New pressure now 50-55psi.
