They say it can be left on all the time while the battery is not in use. I found the best price at TNR Technical, INC $45.00 with free shipping. I have been using the 3600, but for maintenance it was more than I needed, and I have other uses for the bigger charger. They both have an AGM setting and seem to do a good job.
