Jim
Wife and I flew over the mountains to spend Thanksgiving with our kids. It's a 5.5 hour car drive and burns about 24 gallons of gas round trip. We had a stunningly beautiful flight that took 2 hours and burned 16 gallons round trip. The airplane behaved flawlessly and my wife (a student pilot) and I split the flying workload and had a great time, both in the airplane and with our kids. knolde
Jim: Funny, my CT excels in much the same manner, our grand children are a 2 hour flight away also. But the CT also excels in pure fun, discovery (as in going to new places), and lower than expected cost of upkeep. Thanks for throwing this out discussion that I would subtitle: The esoterics of CT ownership. See ya, Ken and Nancy Nolde, N840KN
Runtoeat
Not many German 2 seat sports cars one can jump into and drive "as the crow flies" at 140 mph, not to mention having the views offered by flight. Our CT's do this while sipping fuel. They are amazing machines.
acresflyer
I just flew my CTSW from northern Ohio back to Florida. It was 8.1 hours of pleasurable flying vs. 22 hours of tedious driving for the same trip.
