Safety Officer
Just and FYI, This just burnt one plane over a 5" area and I have seen a couple of others. Your carbon fiber body will conduct electricity. If the charging / jumper wire on the bottom of the cowl touches or rest against the hull it will burn. The frame is grounded and this positive wire will make the connection needed to generate the heat and has and will burn the hull. This wire should have rubber or plastic sleeve over the bare wire unless it is in use and make sure it is angled down and away from the hull. Jim
Wow. And if it doesn't burn, it will definitely run your battery down. That conductor is always electrically hot. Post a picture if you get a chance.
FastEddieB
Some Sky Arrow's had issues with wires chafing against the carbon fiber on the bottom of the instrument panel. One easy fix is that "door edge guard" you can get at any auto parts store. It usually already has adhesive installed. If it's anywhere near anything that moves, I would also secure it with small tywraps once in a while along its length.
