ralarcon
During an annual service, on a 2010 CTLS, it was discovered that the engine mount assembly was out of spec. by 1mm at a lower, bolt hole. The mechanic states thet there is 0 tolerance for this, according to flight design. A replacement engine mount is $4,700 for the part + labor. Is this, customarily covered by, insurance ? Flying Bozo
Wow, that is a 2010 ariplane? How many hours are on it? Larry
Flying C Farms
What city in Florida is your Mech. ? Is the CTLS used for training ? Think I would get a second opinion. Just wait as others will be responding shortly.
Roger Lee
There are many out more than that mounted right from the factory, after a hose change and from hard landings. 1mm is nothing. If it were my plane I would leave it alone.

markmn
Roger, This is one of those situations where your experience will likely save someone almost $5000.00 The mechanic working on the plane is likely just following the book and not intentionally trying to overcharge. Even though I am not a CT owner I learn a lot from you. You are a great asset to the CT community and the rest of us also. Thanks for everything you do.
