Jim Meade
What happens to the Rotax 912ULS if you shut the key off or close the fuel valve when it is operating at full throttle? Is there any detrimental affect on the engine as it comes to a stop? Is there anything that would preclude a normal startup?
Jim
Happened to me years ago. We were doing maintenance on the airplane and the throttle was positioned full open. I started the engine and it went to full throttle immediately. I shut it off as quickly as I could with the ignition switch. Never had a problem. Jim Meade
Warm or cold engine, full throttle start? Warm, but don't need to do a full throttle start. Just curious about the full throttle shut down.
