Gmoore7
Reading Plane and Pilot today about the Tecnam P2008. The writer stated when the pilot began his run up that he went to 1650 rpm's. can anyone tell me why would Tecnam run up at 1650 and our same Rotax run up at 4000 rpm's? Maybe a mis print????? Rckol
According to a review I found, Tecnam displays prop RPM instead of engine RPM. http://www.australianflying.com.au/news/tecnam-p2008-flight-test-tecnam-goes-composite
sandpiper
That would do it. 4000 divided by 2.43 is about 1650. The 2.43 is our gear ratio.

paul m
According to a review I found, Tecnam displays prop RPM instead of engine RPM. Does the engine sound different because they quote prop RPM instead?
