johnr
Hi All, I have a 2006 CTsw with the standard Italian wheels. I would like to know the measurement when new of the distance from ground to the rear of the lowest point on the wing tip. This measurement would accurately indicate if all was normal with the undercarriage. I always park on precisely the same spot in the hangar so it would be a quick easy & accurate check, At the present time all looks good but without the "as new dimesion" I dont have a starting point. I would expect a heavy landing on one wheel would decrease one side & increase the measurement on the other so it would also give an amplified indication of damage to one side. Roger Lee
Hi John, Everyone's plane measurement will be a little different. Your more interested if they are equal. So long as one doesn't droop 3"+ more than the other you should be good to go. The 3" is more arbitrary. If they are too unequal it just means there has been a hard enough landing to tweak on leg and let the wind be lower than the other.
