NC Bill
Just replaced my battery. Unfortunately I don't have my trickle charger here. I'll be forced to leave my plane for 4 weeks without flying. What are the chances it'll start when I get back?
Anticept
Since your base is in the warmer climates, it should be fine without a trickle charger. As an extra step, make sure it's fully charged and disconnect the negative terminal. For those that expect freezing temperatures: it's a little more important to keep lead acid batteries charged, it keeps them from freezing. CT4ME
I've left mine for two months without a problem. Warm climate. 6+ year old battery. Ctsw, with steam gauges.
Jim
If it has a Dynon EMS, leave one of the battery terminals, preferably the negative disconnected until you get back. If no Dynon EMS, don't worry.
