DavidBhm
Just got oil changed and left CHT sensor replaced. During test flight Oil Pressure indicated 81 PSI, well into Yellow Arc. Only dropped to 74 when power pulled back to idle for landing. When I got in to start up about half of the circuit breakers were out (including EFIS & EMS). Mechanic stated in logbook entry EMS was removed to check wiring for CHT replacement. Hobbs - 528. My normal oil pressure in cruise flight 5000rpm has been 54-58., ....any ideas ? Roger Lee
There was no reason to mess with the EMS just to swap a CHT sender and they rarely go bad. They usually just have a poor connection. I would tighten the main ground through the firewall and all the others out by the battery. Check the oil sender's wire connector and make sure it has a firm connection. Second check the sensor type in the EMS setup menu since the mechanic was playing with the EMS. It is possible the sender is going bad, but they usually read low.
