Doug G. Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 TSA, NSA, FAA? Nah, I'm thinkin' the dog ate it.
Tom Baker Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 The one talking about the old airplanes is still there in the landing and flying section.
Rich Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks Tom, Some really nice airplanes in there. We had a Stagger Wing disassembled and stored at our EAA hangar for eight years. It just sold two months ago.
Tom Baker Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks Tom, Some really nice airplanes in there. We had a Stagger Wing disassembled and stored at our EAA hangar for eight years. It just sold two months ago. My dad had a chance to buy a Stagger wing some time back for $600 IIRC. He said it needed recover, and he couldn't afford to do that or buy fuel for it after it was flying.
sandpiper Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 There is a very nice stagger wing at our field that has not flown for a number of years for various reasons, the main one being that the landing gear needs some work and the parts, or some of them, are very rare and very expensive. I,m not sure why the guy doesn't sell it.
Rich Posted December 8, 2013 Author Report Posted December 8, 2013 The one we had at our hangar needed re-covering and a lot of work.
