mocfly
This is #2. They are all pretty close to this in severity. Something to worry about? 705hrs. All 100LL
Roger Lee
Most definitely lead build up. Not a major problem right now, but you will have to address it one day. If you want you can use a sandblaster except use baking soda as the blasting agent and they will be sparkling clean and the soda will not remove any metal or cause any harm to the heads or parts being blasted. It does a beautiful job.

FastEddieB
Chris, Is it impossible to get 91+ mogas where you are? I only run 100LL when on cross countries and even then I'll try to find mogas if I can.
mocfly
Eddie, No it's not impossible.
FastEddieB
Then maybe try to find a way? From all I've heard, it really is better for the engine. I'm lucky - there's a station about a mile from my house with 93 octane ethanol free. It's only about 4 miles from Copperhill. Let me know if you ever want to top off with mogas and I can meet you at Copperhill with cans.
Anticept
Are you using an additive by the way? I know that it will still leave lead deposits over time, just curious.
Roger Lee
Most airport's fire codes don't allow for re-fueling or keeping fuel in the hangar, but a huge majority does it anyway. We all do at my field, both LSA and GA. Just be coyote and safe about it. It makes a huge difference to the engine and fuel with ethanol doesn't matter in the CT. I do what is necessary to keep my plane healthy.
FastEddieB
Just be coyote and safe about it. As in "coyote ugly"? Or has autocorrect struck again?
mocfly
I use the required amount of additive however I can't police the other owners. And they have done some bone headed things. Couldn't imagine having them re-fuel in the hangar.

N89WD
We have 4 stations in Afton. 2 of them have taken out the 91 with 10% and have went to 88 octane with no ethanol. his seems to be coming to another station as well. Anyone else running into this? Would you run it in your rotax?
