airhound
Seem to remember looking under the hood and noting separate retainer cables for each of the firewall/engine mount points in addition to typical nuts and bolts. Was wundering what pupose that serves? Perhaps keeps a high reving engine from separating completly from the plane if the mount fails??? HUMMM! Just can't feature that happening...cables retaining a 5000 RPM engine on a loose mount...but maybe...?
Roger Lee
Hi Ranger, If you are talking about the black Kevlar bridals then: Those aren't retainer cables, but the front harness for the BRS chute. No cables on the firewall, only bolts. It isn't going anywhere. If they were to become loose you will know right away.
