I almost never put my hand on the top of the lever, I usually grab it under the T-handle (when landing where I need big power changes) or at the base (when in cruise and I'm making subtle power adjustments). The lever is so long it's not a comfortable resting place for my hand, and it makes small adjustments harder because it's such a long lever (mechanically as well as literally). I understand that it's set at its current height to clear the brake lever, but I think the brake lever could be shortened, as well. I'd like to see the throttle lever about half its current length.
