I've been mentoring the Yolo Youngmakers for three years now...

It's a group of kids that get together monthly to build a project that will be shown and competed at the Maker Faire.  This year we're building a Power Racing Series car.  It's a home-built electric car chassis that fits under a Power Wheels toy car body.

We are limited by the rules to a maximum of $500, so we're using as much recycled stuff as possible.  It also gives the kids hands-on experience at adapting and redesigning parts.

What we could really use right now is two sets of the old-style wheels left over from Matco upgrades.  Tires, tubes and brake components would be used and appreciated as well, but we'll accept anything.  If you have a set gathering dust in the hanger and you'd like to see them put to use, we could use them.  We could also use a serviceable 24 volt aircraft battery.

If you are within an hour or two flying time from Sacramento, I can probably fly out and pick them up.  Alternately, I can meet you at University, Yolo County, Sac Exec or McClellan airport.  Or you could ship them to me.

If you can help us out, PM me or send me an email at jstewart@jkmicro.com.
