An interesting development - fewer delays at Heathrow!!

NATS (National Air Traffic Services) in the UK are about to introduce a new system for managing the spacing of aircraft on finals depending upon the headwind component -  http://www.nats.aero/news/time-based-separation-heathrow-world-first/

While it obviously doesn't affect us flying CTs too much there have been a few threads running on here where some mis-understandings of IAS, TAS & GS have been quite apparent - perhaps reading this might help (or then again perhaps it might just cause more confusion!!)
