coppercity
Well-known aviation instructors John and Martha King were held at gunpoint by police when they landed at Santa Barbara Airport Aug. 28. The plane they were flying had been given a Federal Aviation Administration N-Number that had previously been assigned to a stolen plane. "[A]pparently nobody is bothering to remove a registration number from the stolen aircraft list when a registration number has been re-assigned," John King said. "As a result, completely innocent citizens wind up being detained at gunpoint." I guess its a good idea to check our tail numbers..Maybe the new 3 year registration requirements will fix this??
