Anticept Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 There's a % tolerance for the sensors, and combined with installation error (not actual problem errors, but just slight deviations due to wiring, engine, and instrument assembly), it's not surprising to see a little bit of a drift. More important is to watch for trends. If the spread is growing, or you see a significant spread while revving up the engine as the temperatures increase, it may be indicative of a problem cropping up then.
Tony & Rose Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 I have a 10-20 spread, depending on configuration. However, as long as my oil temp remains between the two numbers I'm a happy camper....
