GravityKnight Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 I know I start a lot of topics but this is, after all, my favorite flying forum Here is the edited down footage. I missed some really neat scenery in Nevada because my 64gb card was full when we left DUHH... didn't realize it until we were in Arizona. And I missed a few things here and there, but this shows some interesting scenery from the trip, one of the passes we crossed etc. The pass was actually not that high (little under 10k), but with a heavy plane, and down drafts we had to use some techniques to gain enough altitude, rather than raw power. Good stuff... it's about 17 min if you have time. Had to play around with the music and use some stuff that youtube wouldn't get mad about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iWdn_cL9hE -Todd
CT4ME Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 Very Nice! Now imagine "flying the lake" at 500 ft. 'Never tire of that area... always beautiful and always something new to see. We'll be flying to Pagosa Springs Co. in a couple of weeks.

We'll be flying to Pagosa Springs Co. in a couple of weeks. Now that would be fun. It is very nice there. We spotted a natural arch down there just a couple miles from the lake, looked pretty large from the air too. I really like Pagosa, flying in there is high up on my list of things to do! Planning to tackle that one this summer. The winds are surprisingly calm at that airport I monitor it constantly (its on my aero weather app) Good stuff, thanks for posting it. Thanks!
