FastEddieB Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Also, a Korean company has flown an unmanned CTLS... a CT Drone! Copy cat! http://www.skyarrowusa.com/skyarrow/SA_UAV.htm
Doug G. Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 The Korean thing looks to be little more than an upscaled R/C as an equipment test bed. Something similar was fine as proof of concept with a auto controlled Cirrus with a transponder "see and avoid" system a while back. (There was a backup pilot present in the plane in case of a failure.) It worked.
CT4ME Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 It looks like the double door now has a post between the two. Original concept had them opening into one big hole. Stronger now I guess. Wheel & pant will make using the rear door interesting.
CT4ME Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 Also announced at AirVenture 2014... a second "Americas Edition" of the CTLSi, with dual Garmin G3X touch screens...
Doug G. Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Yup, I suspect all of us registered CT owners got the same e-mail from John Gilmore.
CT4ME Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 Yup, I suspect all of us registered CT owners got the same e-mail from John Gilmore. Did I get missed? 'Last one from him was July 11  Wording on the first flight seems to now be "Sept"
N89WD Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 I wish they had more traditional rudder pedals.
CT4ME Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Posted August 12, 2014 Here's Dan Johnson taling about the C4 and the "safety box" http://www.bydanjohnson.com/Sidebar.cfm?Article_ID=1914
FlyingMonkey Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 I saw the C4 full sized body and cockpit mockups at Oshkosh. It looks very nice. One thing I didn't love...the rear seats are molded in place and thus not removable as far as I can see. Hopefully they at least fold down.
CT4ME Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Posted August 12, 2014 I'm not sure that mockup is very accurate, it has been around quite a while. The new pics, from the one of the actual Proof Of Concept (POC) birds seems to have changed somewhat. Things are moving quickly in Germany... I understand they are gearing up for a flight test very soon.
