procharger Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 During annual this week got in side where the trim wheel is for rudder of course cable had come off, now its working for the first time in year and half, think it may come if you loosen the rods on front and cable gets slack and comes off not sure that is the reason but several people have complained about this problem any comments from Roger on the cause???
Tom Baker Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 If something wasn't right with the control system why did you wait until the annual to check it out? I had one loose one time, and the airplane didn't fly again until the problem was fixed. I do think your thoughts that when the cable was loose for maintenance that it slipped off the puley is spot on.
WmInce Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 I had a similar problem with my CTSW before I took delivery of the aircraft. The anomaly was caught and corrected by my inspector/mechanic, Jeremy MacGregor (JM Aero Service & Repair, Tracy, Calif.) Rudder trim works great now.
procharger Posted August 9, 2014 Author Report Posted August 9, 2014 I think the rudder is tensioned properly not sure what happened been like it since I bought it. Never really needed it plane flies straight but nice to have it working anyway.
