A UK Fly-in

Ian

Recommended Posts

Everyone likes looking at pictures of planes - right?

Here are a few from a fly-in I went to on Saturday - an airfield called Castle Kennedy in the Scottish borders, very aristocratic, owned by the Earl of Stair !

I'll just post the pictures - if any are unfamiliar to you let me know & I'll tell you what they are - ps if anyone can name the twin without googling I'll be mega-impressed - it was certainly new to me!!

You have the best looking airplane of the bunch!

Corey gets the prize - it is a Dornier DO28, one of only 2 flying in Europe.

I spoke to the pilot & he told me that it burns about 21 gallons/hour (and that's proper Imperial gallons!!)

The aircraft is based at Old Warden in the south of England which is home to the Shuttleworth Collection - worth a browse
