There may be more than one reason that a CT doesn't burn from both sides evenly. One of the reasons is that our instruments are not mounted in a fixed panel but in a binnacle that stands on the cabin floor. Can you move your binnacle around and change your ball's 'calibration'? I can. When my ball is calibrated my fuel burn becomes even. Here's how I calibrate. When I have roughly 6 gallons in each wing I move my fuel towards either wingtip with the rudder. I find the middle on both sides where fuel is only going towards the engine and not toward either wingtip and call that centered. I then lift and shift a small amount on the binnacle so that the ball is centered. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
