procharger Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Got engine off took it apart, got bolt and flywheel off what a PITA couldn't find impeller tool so had to order it today, going to do 5 year hose deal a year early and 100 hour early too. Let's see new floats, carbs. done, new modules,new flywheel, new plugs, header wrap, new hoses, new oil, new antifreeze, what did I leave out? oh yea sprag

procharger Posted April 20, 2016 Author Report Posted April 20, 2016 Yes pulled pump.Can I get the cover off with impeller still on? I think it is screwed on to the shaft, at base coming through cover.
Anticept Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Oh, right, you are after the sprag. Yeah housing has to come off, which means pulling the impeller. It's a little difficult to get the impeller off with homebuilt tools, it's really brittle.
