cdarza
Bad grounds have been discussed many times. This is a new one for me that i would ask for some advice. Source seems to be the ignition key area. I have had this in the past where as i wiggle the key in the ignition, the gauges would fluctuate. I removed the key and just by pressing on the ignition, the gauges would fluctuate. I eventually removed the ignition from the backplate that holds it in place. Gave it a blast of air to 'clean it' (as if that was gonna do anything) - and placed it back as installed... Lo and behold, gauges were solid and not fluctuating anymore. Temporary fix as i did not do anything to fix this. Attached youtube video link: https://youtu.be/dbl64I-w9ek
Roger Lee
If tightening the wires on the backside don't fix the problem and wiggling the key causes problems then replace the switch.
