bmar
If you are taking a week long trip, do you cover your CT while it's sitting on the ramp? Is it worth bringing a cover along with you, or is it not worth carrying the extra weight and losing storage room. Thanks
Roger Lee
I cover mine and the prop.
ls6pilot
What cover would be recommended? I see the Bruces covers have a regular and a travel weight. Rich Chesser
Roger Lee
Personally I prefer these guys over Bruce's covers. http://www.aviationcovers.com/ http://www.aviationcovers.com/plugins/albums/slideshow/slideshow.html?bgType=1&bgStyle=
FlyingMonkey
I have the cover Rger mentioned. It's great, but not a "quick on/off" cover, it takes a few minutes. it weighs about 7 pounds, and I leave it in the passenger baggage compartment. I think I have only used it three times. I occasionally pull it out if I need to reclaim the weight and don't anticipate having to leave the airplane out in adverse weather. I don't mind leaving the airplane out a night or two if the weather is fair, but some folks insist on always covering.
Buckaroo
This brings up a question. On cross country flying can you usually arrange hangered night storage? Makes me nervous with hail and thunderstorms coming up. I'll be going to Rochester Mn and Salt Lake area a lot this spring and summer.

Call the airport before you leave and ask. It seems to be about 50/50 in my experience. But every time I have ever *really* needed it, somebody has stepped up and found me some space, even without calling ahead (weather diversions). Doug G.
No input on your question, but if you end up flying near the Fargo area on your way to Rochester let me know- we can have lunch.
ls6pilot
Got a quote on cover from aviationcovers. Would you recommend sunbrella or ripstop with soft backing? Rich
